The violet: The violet plant is considered one of the perennial plants, and it has aromatic scents, and its neck length is estimated at about ninety centimeters.
Uses: For adults, the leaves and roots are used to treat colds.
Method of use: A decoction is made by taking a teaspoonful of the leaves and roots together, and placing them in a cup of boiling water, and leaving it for three hours before use. Then, it is drunk from two to three cups per day.
As for children, a tablespoon of the flowers is taken, and poured over boiling water, then left for 8 hours. It is filtered and re-infused with the flowers and a cup of water, then poured over the first drink. The process is repeated 3-4 times, then the drink is collected and boiled with sugar until it becomes viscous like honey. It is then stored in a bottle, and given to the child a diluted teaspoonful in half a cup of water twice a day.
